The Botanical Garden of the University of Cagliari has been recently reopened to the public after a major restoration (as per my good friend Rita Paoli’s suggestion – she works for Le Rose nursery in Florence and also sent me the beautiful pictures posted on this page).
You should absolutely pay a visit to that wonderful botanical garden, during your next trip to Sardinia. You will come across many exotic species, including succulent spurges and bauhinias (also known as “orchid trees”). The botanical garden of Cagliari is open all year round, from Monday to Saturday, except January 1st, Easter Sunday, April 25th, May 1st, August 15th, and December 25th-26th. Enjoy your visit!
