The royal castle of Racconigi and its large park are the ideal destination if you feel like plunging yourself into luxuriant nature and history. They are both open every day from Tuesday to Sunday and on August 15th (closed on August 16th). You can also have a picnic in the park, while dogs on a leash are welcome – be aware that storks and other protected species live there!
During the 67th edition of “Pepero” (Carmagnola Pepper Festival), the castle housed installations inspired by gastronomy and that very summer treat. The castle often hosts events and exhibitions like a recent one dedicated to the legendary Vespa motorbike.
Next to the Castle, near the former royal farmhouses, there is also Centro Lipu Cicogne e Anatidi (Stork and Anatidae wildlife protection centre).
Visitors may also enjoy the nearby small towns, beautiful countryside, as well as hiking, horse riding and bicycle trips in this very area. There is also the new Mses-European Academy of Essence, in Savigliano.
